I am a mental health professional who holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University’s Department of Psychology and a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—but also gently challenged to see yourself and your experiences in new ways.
I am always honored when someone chooses to invite me into their space. I recognize that beginning therapy and opening up about the parts of your life that may feel difficult, painful, or vulnerable takes courage and trust. Because of that, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space is incredibly important. I strive to hold that space with compassion and respect, so you can feel comfortable being honest, exploring your emotions, and showing up as your authentic self.

My Approach
My approach to therapy is warm, empowering, and thoughtfully challenging. I take the time to truly understand your concerns, listen to what you’re experiencing, and work with you to develop meaningful treatment goals. Together, we create a space where you can process your emotions, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and begin looking at situations from different perspectives.
I am heavily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I believe that our thoughts and the ways we interpret our experiences can have a powerful impact on how we feel and respond to the world around us. At the same time, I recognize that no two people—or situations—are exactly alike. For that reason, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches and integrate different modalities based on your individual needs, experiences, and goals.

Modalities
Some approaches I may incorporate include solution-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) concepts , and Gestalt-informed techniques. These are just some of the approaches I may draw from; I believe therapy is most effective when it is flexible and individualized rather than one-size-fits-all.
Lasting Impact
My goal is not simply to give you answers, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, recognize your strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and feel empowered to make meaningful changes. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey. My hope is that you leave our work together with greater insight, practical tools, a stronger sense of self, and greater confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.
